COMMUNITY CO-DESIGN

We use the co-design process to create more equitable and inclusive projects, policies, and practices.

Co-design is an approach to encourage, compensate, and prioritize the inclusion of diverse populations throughout the design and development process of projects, policies, and practices. The Rochester region uses co-design as a valued and effective community-centric approach to creating equitable strategies.

Equitable co-design is not traditional community engagement. It aims to address the most persistent inequalities by addressing disproportionate power structures.
