Educational Resources for 11-14 year old’s

A Rochester student-led initiative where students become (virtual) teachers! Become a volunteer tutor and/or sign up for tutoring.

This program is run with volunteers by the Olmsted County Youth Commission.  Brainfuse  Free live tutoring is available daily 2PM – 11PM through Brainfuse. To get help with homework or other student support, sign in with a library card.

In this diverse collection of titles, middle grade readers will find books on a variety of educational and entertaining topics. Featuring books that were created in the great state of Minnesota, readers will enjoy titles that represent where they come from and support local publishers and writers.

Search animals based on their class (mammal, reptile, bird, etc.) OR based on what kind of biome they live in (arctic, desert, grassland, etc.). From there, students can select which animals are interesting to them, and learn about their habitat, size, diet, and more!
